Help & policies
Everything you need to run ads on Tugel, and the rules every ad must follow.
Quick start
Step 1
Complete your billing details
Add your billing contact, the company’s legal name and address, and your Tax ID (EIN or VAT number) in Settings. They are required before you can add funds or publish, and they print on your receipts and statements.
Step 2
Add funds
Ads run on a prepaid balance. Add at least $10 from Billing, or turn on automatic payments so delivery never stops.
Step 3
Create a campaign
Pick a goal and who should see your ads, then decide how much to put on each channel, video, topic or keyword — the total is your budget. Each step opens as soon as its required fields are filled in.
Step 4
Upload your ad and publish
Add a video, headline and landing page. We review every ad before it runs — usually within one business day. Overview and Reports update within seconds of delivery.
Frequently asked questions
Why can’t I continue to the next step?
The campaign wizard only stops you for missing required information: a campaign name, at least one placement, money on at least one spend line, and an ad before publishing. Everything that still needs attention is highlighted in red and the page scrolls to the first field. Clicking a later step in the list takes you to the first step with something missing.
Why isn’t my campaign running?
Check that the campaign is enabled, at least one ad is approved, your balance is above zero, the start date has passed and the campaign’s spend isn’t used up. Very narrow targeting (for example one small channel plus a keyword) can also leave few matching slots. The campaign list shows the delivery status for each campaign.
What counts as a play?
A play is billed once your ad has run for 15 seconds, or all the way through if it is shorter. Skipping afterwards doesn’t change the price; skipping before that is free. Reports count plays as views.
How much will I pay? Is there bidding?
There is no bidding. Tugel sets a fixed price per play for every channel, video, topic, keyword and placement, and you see each price when you pick it in the campaign wizard; everything else runs at the platform’s default price for the placement. You decide how much to put on each line, and the total is your campaign budget. Ad space is shared fairly: the campaigns that fit a viewer take turns.
What do I need before I can add funds or publish?
A complete billing contact: the contact’s name, billing email and phone, the company’s legal name and billing address (street, city, state or province, postal code and country), and a Tax ID — an EIN, VAT number or your country’s tax registration number. Add them in Settings → Billing contact & Tax ID. They print on receipts and monthly statements.
Can I track conversions?
Not yet — conversion tracking (a tag for your website and conversion columns in Reports) is coming soon, and so are the Sales and Leads objectives that rely on it. Until then, measure results with plays, views, clicks and completions.
What audiences can I target?
Countries, states and provinces, cities and ZIP codes; languages; age and gender (from viewer profiles); topics, keywords, specific channels and videos; and whether signed-out viewers are included. Audience segments (interests, affinity and custom segments), subscriber audiences and device types are coming soon. Audience targeting never applies to made-for-kids content, viewers under 18 or viewers who turned off ad personalization. Parental status and household income aren’t available.
How is the masthead sold?
The masthead has its own price per play and is booked by date: choose the dates in Budget & dates and put money on it on the Spend step. At most two advertisers share the masthead on any day.
How do budgets work?
Your budget is the total you put on the Spend step, line by line. Standard delivery paces it evenly across the campaign dates; each line stops when its money is used up and the other lines keep running. Actual spend can briefly run slightly over while delivery counters catch up.
When is my balance charged?
Delivered ads are deducted from your prepaid balance within minutes. The Billing page shows spend that is delivered but not yet deducted. When the balance reaches zero, campaigns pause and resume automatically after you add funds.
How does ad review work?
Every ad is reviewed before it runs, and again when you change what viewers see — usually within one business day. Ads that don’t follow the advertising policies are not approved, and the reviewer’s note on the ad explains why. Campaigns can be published while ads are in review; delivery starts once an ad is approved.
Can I get a refund?
Payments are non-refundable except where required by law, but unused balance can be refunded when you close your account — contact support@tugel.com. Charges for invalid traffic we detect are credited back automatically.
How do I give teammates access?
Admins can invite people from Access. Choose Admin, Standard (campaigns), Read only, or Billing access for each person.

Tugel Ads advertising terms
- Prepaid balance. Ads are paid from a prepaid balance in your account currency. Payments are processed securely; your card may be saved for automatic payments if you enable them.
- Account details. Before funds can be added or a campaign published, the account needs a billing contact (name, email and phone), the company’s legal name and billing address, and a Tax ID (EIN, VAT number or equivalent). These print on receipts and statements; you’re responsible for keeping them accurate.
- Prices. There is no bidding. Tugel sets the price per play for every channel, video, topic, keyword and placement and shows it when you build a campaign. Prices can change over time; a campaign is charged at the prices shown when it was saved.
- Charges. Campaigns are charged per play: once an ad has played for 15 seconds, or all the way through if it is shorter, at the price per play for the line it ran on. Nothing is charged for a play that ends before that point. Campaigns created under earlier pricing keep the terms they were saved with.
- Delivery. We don’t guarantee a specific amount of delivery. Budgets are targets; brief overdelivery caused by reporting delays is not charged beyond the campaign’s budget.
- Review. Every ad is reviewed before it runs and again when what viewers see changes. Ads that don’t follow the advertising policies are not approved, and we may pause or remove ads and campaigns that violate them.
- Creators. Most ad revenue is shared with the creators whose content your ads appear on (55% on long-form videos, 45% on Clips).
- Invalid activity. Clicks and plays we identify as invalid are removed from reports and not charged, or credited back.
- Reporting. Reports use UTC days and may be adjusted for invalid activity for up to 30 days.
- Accounts. You’re responsible for the people you give access to and for everything they do in the account.
- Refunds. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. Unused prepaid balance is refundable when you close your account, except promotional credits.
- Changes. We may update these terms with notice in the portal; continuing to run ads means you accept the updated terms.
